2022 Fetherston Estate Chardonnay

A textured and beautifully aromatic Yarra Chardonnay.  Fetherston Vintners is a relatively new wine venture by Chris Lawrence and Camille Koll.  Chris adopted an affinity for plants from his grandfather Tony Fetherston who was an inspiring educator in the field of horticulture.  For Chris, this manifested into a love of viticulture and making wine.  The Estate Chardonnay is delicate and elegant with subtle floral and white stone fruit aromas.  The palate is generous with good citrus intensity and white peach flavours laced with hints of toasted hazelnut, pastry and cream.  Aged in a combination of new and old oak, malolactic fermentation is prevented to maintain a crisp linear acid backbone.  A delightful Chardonnay with a laissez-faire attitude.
