2022 Vigne Surrau Cannonau di Sardegna

From the sun-drenched hills of Gallura in northern Sardinia, Surrau’s Cannonau is a refined expression of the island’s signature red grape.  Shaped by the Mistral winds and granite-rich soils of the Surrau Valley, the wine captures Gallura’s distinctive coastal character.  Aged in cement and large, untoasted casks, it prioritises purity of fruit and finesse over weight, offering a more elegant and restrained interpretation of Cannonau.  Fragrant with ripe cherry and floral notes, it is fleshy and vibrant on the palate, with silky tannins, and a bright, lingering finish.
