2023 Marina Coppi Timorasso Francesca

Timorasso is Piedmont’s white wine equivalent of Barolo — powerful, complex and built to age.

An elegant introduction to Timorasso, the ancient white variety of Piedmont’s Colli Tortonesi, increasingly recognised as one of Italy’s great white grapes.  The ‘Francesca’ Timorasso is the entry point to Marina Coppi’s three Timorasso wines.  Aged on lees for eight months in stainless steel, followed by five months in bottle, creating a beautifully textured yet approachable style.  Fragrant with pear, white acacia and subtle tropical notes, the palate layers orchard fruit, lemon peel, sage and chamomile, supported by fine acidity and a seamless, mid-weight texture.  A great example of why Timorasso is rapidly increasing in both production and popularity.
