When it comes to Italian varieties, few are more passionate than acclaimed winemaker Stephen Pannell. Inspired by the wines of Northern Italy, his Protero label brings a distinctly Adelaide Hills expression to these much-loved grapes. And Dolcetto? It's one of his personal favourites. Sourced from a tiny, single vineyard in Kenton Valley, this vibrant beauty bursts with juicy dark berries, tart blackberries and a delicate dusting of spice. Fleshy and generous, yet wonderfully fresh, with fine, chalky tannins and a deliciously savoury finish.
